New show opens March 05, 2010!

CAROUSEL is once again venturing out of magazine territory and into the art world with an exhibition of our own (our last show was called CRSL23+ remember? It occurred back in 2008, and we did a damned good job of it according to critic Gary Michael Dault). The Carousel Exhibition Series expands on the culture that CAROUSEL proposes to study with every new issue; these shows bring together groups of artists, who have, through their practice and aesthetic, strongly connected to the community developing around the magazine. To date, CAROUSEL has presented special art projects for galleries in Hamilton, London, Montreal, Toronto and Windsor …

We’re calling the latest gallery project Boring. People. Love. Drills. and it’s a collaboration with LE Gallery, one of our favourite Toronto galleries. This invitational exhibition features a number of artists appearing in the pages of the forthcoming CAROUSEL #25 issue, as well as a few future creative contributors. An opening reception for the exhibition will be held on Friday March 05, 7pm, with selected artists in attendance.
