We're happy to announce that CAROUSEL's 4PANEL section has been nominated for a DOUG WRIGHT AWARD! We're a nominee for the '2013 Pigskin Peters Award', which recognizes the best in experimental or avant-garde comics. Other 2013 Wright Awards nominees include industry stalwarts such as Michel Rabagliati, David Collier, Ethan Rilly and Michael DeForge.
The 2013 Doug Wright Awards ceremony — Canada’s biggest night in comics — will take place on Saturday, May 11 (a feature event of the Toronto Comics Awards Festival) at the Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel from 7-9pm. This year, actor/comedian Scott Thompson (of Kids In The Hall fame) will be the host for the 9th annual awards ceremony.
This event is free to the general public and the doors will open at 6:30pm.
