Please join us for the Toronto launch of CAROUSEL 30, a free event taking place this Sat Jan 12, 2013 from 1-4pm at O’Born Contemporary — 131 Ossington Ave.
An 80 page bi-annual hybrid literary/arts magazine representing new and established Canadian artists (with a selection of international contributors), CAROUSEL highlights a comfortable merging of textual and visual content, presenting work across many genres … if it is original and engaging, we aim to see it in print.
C30 special features include: an interview with Toronto pixel-pusher Alex Fischer; an interview with Norwegian cartoon auteur Jason (Fantagraphics); a recap of WNDW, the 2012 ‘Carousel Exhibition Series’ special project; a profile of restless Toronto painter Jen Mann; a post-event overview of Madeleine Collective’s 12 Hr Zine Machine zine-making performance project; fourteen new strips for the 4PANEL experimental comics section.
