CARA EVANS

Fractal

i.
nothing disappears
every action fractures
into a million splinters of the same
action happening over and
over there is no erasure
only variation

ii.
the word or is nestled
in word and each
word is a threshold
the breath or the story
the sound or the sign

the word more is truncated
and trapped within
memory memory
cannot exceed or replicate
twists vainly toward
doubling redoubling redoing

all wholes are completed by lack
